We are hiring a part time team member to join us in both bakery production and our Sunday farmers market. This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys baking, working independently, and connecting with customers in a lively market environment. You’ll be involved in all aspects of our small bakery business—from early morning production to representing our brand in the community.

  • Pack and transport all market goods and equipment in your personal vehicle
  • Set up and break down a busy market booth
  • Sell products, handle cash and credit card transactions, and track inventory
  • Represent Small Baking Co.—tell our story, engage customers, and create a welcoming experience
  • Return to the bakery to unload at the end of the day
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of commercial bakery experience (or strong relevant experience; willing to train the right person)
  • Sales or customer service experience, with strong people skills
  • A positive, outgoing personality—you enjoy talking with customers and being part of a community
  • Highly reliable, responsible, and self-motivated
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a “can-do” work ethic
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
  • Must have your own vehicle and a good driving record (required for market transport)
  • Must be 18+ with at least 2 years of driving experience
Compensation & Perks
  • Starting wage is $19/hour; performance based raise at 3 months
  • Tips from the Sunday market are generally between $25-$40
  • In addition, we offer a market trade of $16 worth of product each market, a 35% employee discount on baked goods, and mileage reimbursement ($30 for the Sunday market in 2026.) We offer all employees yearly raises.

We are a small, hardworking team that values quality, efficiency, and genuine connection with our community. This role offers the opportunity to grow your baking skills, learn small business operations, and play an important part in our continued growth. There is plenty of room for initiative and creativity within the position.
